Design Nine has state of the art GIS and mapping systems and experts in house to provide our clients with a full range of broadband mapping services and capabilities.
Typical mapping work for a broadband study includes:
- Mapping of existing assets, including towers, fiber routes, telephone switching offices, and other local infrastructure. Identification and mapping of key anchor broadband users, including K12 schools, colleges and universities, libraries, and local government offices and facilities.
- Mapping of key business, commercial, and industrial areas, including major employers and business/industrial parks. Studies of your region mapping low and moderate income (LMI) areas to help qualify for grants.
- Mapping of existing unserved, underserved, and served areas in the region to identify where new services and infrastructure is needed most. Aerial photographic views overlaid with GIS map data and key locations.
- Backbone and middle mile routes for new fiber and/or wireless infrastructure. Last mile fiber and wireless build out studies. Business and residential cluster analysis mapping studies to identify where users are located and where to build first.
A typical feasibility study includes a full range of maps at various scales and projections to provide clear visual representations of areas of need, proposed infrastructure, and potential service areas.
